Bourbon Tasteoffs

The fellas gather again to taste some tasty Ben Holladay bourbons out of Missouri. The labels are very informative with some nostalgic images of stagecoaches and rickhouses. The age statements are all at least 6 years old. Keeping the juice in a barrel that long gives them all a great sweet taste. We think you would enjoy them. Todd certainly did, maybe too much. On this monthly winner episode, we get to taste the Old Rip Van Winkle again to see if it truly stacks up against other episode winners. There is a bottle with some minty flavor bomb type tasting notes. How will it fair up against the rest of the bottles? Is there such thing as mint blindness? Wheat is the standout grain in the whiskeys tasted in this episode. Three of the four bottles are straight wheat whiskey, which need to have over 51% wheat, while the fourth bottle is a wheated bourbon that has over 51% corn and the 2nd grain is primarily wheat.
